Note to Contributors

Art & Research welcomes submissions from artists, researchers, academics, critics and curators which seek to engage with all areas of research in Fine Art practice and/or pedagogy. Submissions may take the form of interviews, analytical or polemical essays as well as audio, visual or text-based artworks which seek to address issues in / or are the outcomes of research in Fine Art practice.

We also welcome interdisciplinary articles which address research in Fine Art practice in relation to questions and methodologies in the context of philosophy, politics, law, medicine, science and the humanities.

Written submissions should normally not exceed 5000 words. Contributions must be submitted as Word attachments to email messages. Abstracts of about 100 words should be included in a separate file.

Written submissions should be double spaced and minimum 12 pt font, Times. Citations and referencing should follow Oxford system.

If you are intending to submit audio, visual or text-based artwork for consideration please contact editors in advance with an outline of your proposal and its relation to your practice and research.

All submissions considered for publication by editors will be forwarded for blind peer assessment by nominated assessors of each issue.

Submissions should not be currently under consideration by another journal.

Art & Research is not responsible for damage or loss of submitted materials.
